Sorry about the lack of posting lately, the weather finally turned for the better on my little island and it’s festival season around my little corner of the world. Future posts will address what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks, but a conversation I had with a yacht owner yesterday who has limited internet interest other than to build his business made me do some research. Most people haven’t heard of a new Congressional bill that if passed, will make most of our lives here in our little corner of the web at the least uncomfortable and at the most, if the language is to be believed, will make most of us criminal. Here’s the text of the bill from the Government’s own website:
113th CONGRESS
2nd Session“To require the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to update a report on the role of telecommunications, including the Internet, in the commission of hate crimes.IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES April 8, 2014 Mr. Markey introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation A BILLTo require the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to update a report on the role of telecommunications, including the Internet, in the commission of hate crimes.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.This Act may be cited as the “Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014”.SEC. 2. REPORT.Section 155 of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration Organization Act (enacted as section 135 of Public Law 102–538; 106 Stat. 3542) is amended to read as follows:“SEC. 155. Well let me tell you something, even though the bill invokes the First Amendment of the Constitution, this bill is expressly designed to bypass that purposefully and make dissidents like us criminal for just voicing our opinions.
It surprised me that an owner of a yacht I was partying on brought this pending bill up to me. But knowing how he made his money and how I make mine now, given the hour long conversation we had before he told me about this bill, it makes perfect sense. Both of us deal in information, and mostly the subjects we deal with make the large majority of the sheeple and the elites very uncomfortable.
That can’t be tolerated for all the elite crap about fighting intolerence. By the way, check my Twitter feed if you have any doubts that I was partying on a yacht. But it got me back to the reason why I started this blog and why I need to get back to writing more than I have lately. There’s more and more people that are checking out the alternate media like the people I have linked on my blogroll. That is an encouraging development. Thus the introduction of the bill that got me to writing about this.
So, it appears that if this bill passes, I’ll be guilty of hate crimes retroactively. I knew it was coming but I didn’t expect a rich yacht owner to bring it to my attention.
Even the rich that don’t have access to the elite are concerned.
